Over time, the sand inside your pool filter becomes worn, compacted, and coated with oils and debris — reducing its ability to trap fine particles. Replacing the sand restores filtration performance, improves water clarity, and helps your system run more efficiently.
When Is It Time?
- Sand is 3–5+ years old
- Water stays cloudy despite proper chemistry
- Filter pressure remains high after back-washing
- Visible channeling or clumping inside the filter

- Drain and open filter housing
- Removal old sand
- Inspection of laterals and internal components
- Installation of fresh silica sand
- System restart and pressure check
- Off site disposal of old sand available for additional fee
